We are excited that you have considered joining us on this exciting learning journey.

Course Overview

Our course has a contemporary approach, enhanced by enquiry-based teaching methodology and combining a high-level grammar and vocabulary syllabus. This is all taught alongside 21st century skills with a big emphasis on critical thinking. The course empowers students not only to acquire information, but to contribute to it, sharing their own opinions and experience, and thinking beyond their normal perspectives. Lessons are carefully staged, and the approach to practice and recycling is thorough. This course places a strong emphasis on literacy, with the inclusion of a wide variety of text types and designated extensive reading lessons. Well-planned projects build on previous units and give students more opportunities to use the language in all four skills and reinforce learning.

Leaning Objectives

Junior A incorporates a greater amount of vocabulary and a wider range of grammatical structures that would be expected in a mainstream English language course. Students learn vocabulary which they see around them in everyday situations, and is relevant to their age and needs. Grammar is presented in a story-based and character-driven context to highlight meaning. They are then given ample opportunities to combine the vocabulary and grammar in fun activities to build students’ language skills and confidence.

Target Audience

The suitability of younger or older students for this level is always at the discretion of the academic director.

English educators

Educators

Our teachers possess a minimum qualification of a B.A. in English and undergo ongoing training, including programs by the British Council and Cambridge University. The team is carefully selected for high expertise, ensuring excellence. Parents can expect to foster a productive and friendly relationship with their child’s teacher, who keeps them consistently informed and updated.

Method of Assessment

In a fast-paced syllabus with very concrete aims for achievement, recycling and language review are essential. We give great importance to these aspects of language learning through systematic recycling of all core language which is revised in a variety of different contexts. Students’ progress is then evaluated through formal testing, ongoing assessment, and self-assessment. Formal testing is conducted through vocabulary tests, unit tests and progress tests. At the end of the academic year, there is an end-of-year test (TET Together English Test) used to report on the students’ overall progress of the course level.

At the end of the academic year, students will be awarded a Certificate of Attainment from Together English Language Centre. The TET certificate will be endorsed by our Academic Director.
