This online course prepares candidates to take the IELTS Academic test and teaches them valuable exam skills.

This Academic course is for young adults or anyone who is preparing to get into university for an undergraduate or postgraduate degree.
The International English Language Testing System (IELTS) measures the language proficiency of people who want to study or work where English is used as a language of communication. It uses a nine-band scale to clearly identify levels of proficiency, from non-user (band score 1) through to expert (band score 9).
The General course is appropriate for you if you plan to study below degree level and for work purposes.

During these courses, each module will work with texts that inspire learners to speak, and offer the support that students need at this early stage of their educational journey. Students receive full skills coverage on pronunciation. There is also some work through videos which cover practical and high-frequency phrases.

Before commencing any courses, students are required to take a free online placement test which reports candidates’ scores and can determine their level according to the Common European Framework of Reference.
